apt install build-essential libx11-dev libncurses5-dev

and see “from source” below. when done, you might want to clean-up

apt purge build-essential libx11-dev libncurses5-dev
apt autoremove --purge

slackware

from source

make sur you’ve got GCC and shit as well as curses.h & X11/Xlib.h to compile the source

fetch, extract and install ClusterIt

tar xzf clusterit-2.5.tar.gz
