Setting up IceCat

Install

grab some recent version and install

as root

cd /opt/
wget https://mirror.tochlab.net/pub/gnu/gnuzilla/60.7.0/icecat-60.7.0.en-US.gnulinux-x86_64.tar.bz2
tar xjf icecat-60.7.0.en-US.gnulinux-x86_64.tar.bz2
ln -s /opt/icecat/icecat /usr/local/bin/

Setup

as user

ls -lF ~/.mozilla/icecat/ # not yet
icecat

X disable javascript (twitter & google groups)
V no custom fonts
V tracking protection

V isolate requests
V update extensions
X spoof referers (google captcha)

X captive portal
X geolocation
X WebGL

X LibreJS
X hidden html
V block third-parity
